Mangalore : Jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh were stolen from a house at Balmatta in Mangalore on November 25, Sunday. The theft took place when the house owner Altaf and his family were away.

Reports say the thieves gained entry into the house on Sunday morning through the front door and left with gold weighing 54 sovereigns and Rs 8000 in cash.

The jewellery stolen from the house included  those of some relatives including Altaf’s aunt Zulekha.

Kadri police are conducting the investigations.
