Mangaluru: The police have arrested six people in connection with robbery at chief priest of Kateel Shree Durgaparameshwari, Vasudev Asranna’s home, said sources.
The sources have also said that more than 50 people have been called for the enquiry by the police. Out of them, six people have been taken to the custody for the further interrogation. As per the information these six people have revealed valuable evidences relating to the case.
The robbers were decamped with valuables and cash of worth Rs 14 lakh after robbing the house and threatening the Asranna’s family at gun point. As per the family members statement they were speaking Tulu mixed Hindi language.
It is learnt that the plan was done by two people who had the complete in and outs of Asranna’s house as well as the temple.
Sources have said that the accused will be arrested soon.
