Mangalore : DC N Prakash inaugurated the Folic and Iron tablet distribution programme in the district at Attavar Government Higher Primary School on July 17, Wednesday.

Speaking the occasion, Dr Rukmini Reproductive Child Health Officer said that the Iron tablets are been distributed to 1,11,887 students of Government and Aided schools across the district.

The tablets were distributed to the students aged 10to16 years from the 6th to 10th standard under the leadership of State Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader.

Asha Thimmappa Gowda, president of Zilla Panchayath Standing committee, Moses Jayashekar, deputy director, department of public instructions, and Corportor Abdul Ravoof were present.
