Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner A.B Ibrahim along with the officials of Mangalore City Corporation, tourism, health and muzrai department paid a visit to Sri Manjunatha Temple, Kadri and inspecting the development work on September 10, Wednesday and directed them to resume the stalled projects.
Kadri Manjunatha Temple managing committee members AJ Shetty and Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, welcomed the officials and discussed about the developmental works.
DC also inspected the to construct a multi-level car parking for the temple devotees with the fund of Rs 5 crore and discussed on the stalled projects such as construction of proper drainage and toilet facilities with the fund of Rs 1 crore. Apart from it, the matter regarding the strengthening of the retaining wall was also discussed.
Reportedly, the department had sanctioned the fund for the construction of toilet and drainage in the premises of the temple few years back, but due to lack of a plan hence the temple had to construct a temporary toilet.
Later, DC urged the committee to maintain cleanliness at the premises of the temple and assured to resume the stalled works.
