Puttur: The Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Dr. N.S. Channappa Gowda, conducted his mobile court in Puttur for the first time. Such mobile court proceedings would be held for 2 days in a month hereafter, he indicated on Saturday.
The Puttur Bar Association chief Mahesh Kaje in a delegation of local advocates like M.Ram mohan Rao, received the DC at his mobile court, and complimented him on the novel development.
Kaje told Dr. Gowda that his association of lawyers would extend full co-ooperation to this efforts.
When CM DV Sadananda Gowda visited Puttur on Nov 24, the local advocates had requested him to begin a mobile court at least 2 days in a month at Puttur.
Responding to this idea quickly, CM had told the DC (Dr. Gowda) to commence a mobile court at Puttur Assistant commissioner’s court premises.
Puttur AC is running his court once a week in Sullia and Belthangady. The 3 taluks can save time and solve cases this way, felt the local Bar.
The CM is a senior lawyer of Puttur Bar, and picked up the thread to start DC court in Puttur, in 2 days every month.
