Mangalore : DC N Prakash inaugurated the World Tourism Day -2013 at Ravindra Kala Bhavan of University College on Sep 27, Friday.

The event was organized by Department of Tourism in association with Dakshina Kannada District Administration, University College, KSTDC, Jungle Lodges and Resorts.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Dakshina Kannada district is is working towards the development of Tourism destination and providing more opportunities for the tourism development.

He also said that Goa and Kerala is stands first in tourism, in coming days DK and Udupi will developed with the governmental fund.

Ammal Kutty, principal of the University College presided over the event.

Tourism department assistant director, U Jithendranath welcomed the gathering.

University College Tourism department head Dasharath P Angady, Panambur beach tourism development project CEO Yatish Baikampady, Udayavani bureau chief Manohar Prasad Nirmala Travels director Nirmala C Kamath and KCCI member Vatika Kamath were present.
