Mangalore: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Channappa Gowda has directed the NHAI officials to construct a service road at Tokkottu on the NH 66 in the better interests of the public.

He was speaking at a meeting convened in connection with the revised project of the NHAI. Local MLA UT Khader, who was also present at the meeting, said all project should be farsighted and should protect the interest of the locals.

At the meeting the NHAI authorities were directed to construct an under pass for people proceeding towards Melkar from Tokkottu bus  stand.

The MLA also suggested pedestrian bridges   at Kallaup, Kumpala, Kotekar junction and other places where there are schools.

KM Hegde, Technical Manager of NHAI, Krishnamurthy, Land Acquisition Officer, Ravi, Deputy Engineer, Satyanarayana, ZP Executive Engineer and others were present on the occasion.
