Mangalore : The district administration has given a deadline of December 15, for the religious parties to demolish the illegal religious structures by their own.
Speaking at the meeting held at November 29, Monday DK Deputy Commissioner Subhod Yadav said that, the administration have decided to carry out the demolition work as per the orders of the Supreme Court if they do not do on their own.
He stated that, a total of 1579 illegal structures have been identified out of which 152 are in Puttur, 150 in Kadaba, 363 in Mangalore, 352 in Bantwal, 298 in Belthangady, 136 in Sullia, and 98 are in Moodbidri. After the December 15 deadline, the district administration will go ahead with the demolition activity, he added.
