Udupi : The DCIB police of Udupi have apprehended two men who were trying to sell ganja near the Giliyaru here on July 31, Wednesday. The arrested are Akashbhavan Ibrahim alias Escape Ibrahim (42) and Khader (46).

Police seized ganja weighing 1.2 kg, some cash and  a motorcycle from them. The two were nabbed while they were waiting for a customer. The arrest was possible following a tip off.

Police also informed that the two used to get ganja from Shimoga in order to sell it in the town. Of the two Akashbhavan Ibrahim is a notorious criminal against whom there are many complaints in various police stations in the district. He has also undergone imprisonment in several cases.
