Kundapur : The DCIB police have arrested one more person in connection with the murder of Vasudeva Adiga, RTI activist. If four contract killers have already been arrested in Bangalore the fifth arrest was also made in Bangalore and the arrested has been identified as Subrahmanya Udupa who is said to be a relative of Adiga’s neighbour Ramesh Bairi.

As already reported, a land dispute was running between Adiga and Bairi since the past several years. It is learnt, Bairi was reportedly not happy with the court verdict in favor of Adiga and was waiting for the right time to avenge Adiga. There is also information that some people who had to face problem due to the RTI queries by Adiga too might have abetted the crime. The information received says that the supari killers were given Rs 25 lakhs to execute the  crime.

All the arrested are likely to be taken to the spot where Adiga’s body was found. Adiga who went missing on January 7 and his body was found at Kadur on January 12 in a pond in adecomposed state.Further investigations are in progress.
