Mangaluru: “If anyone disturbs public during any festival in the name of culture and rituals, strict action will be taken against them,” assured DCP of law and order Shantharaju.

He was speaking in a meeting with SC/ST people with regard to problems facing by them.

Dalit leader urged the DCP to fix a specific time for the celebration of and feast and to perform rituals. “Many people come at late night and that disturbs the diseased, children and aged people. Police should fix a specific time for performing the rituals,” he said.

While replying to this DCP said that police cannot fix any time for any rituals. If their performance is disturbing someone then the public can file a complaint at police station. “Police will look after the matter,” he added.
