Mangalore : Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Channappa Gowda and his driver escaped unhurt when the DC’s car which was heading towards Circuit House where the DC was scheduled to attend a meeting, was involved in  an accident  at Balmatta Circle at around 8.15 pm on June 4, Monday.

It has been reported that a speeding Maruti 800 car coming from the opposite direction collided with the DC’s Innova car while it was negotiating a curve. Two persons travelling in the Maruti 800 were injured. The Maruti 800 car was also badly mauled due to the impact of the collision.
