Mangaluru: Dalita Damanithara Swabhimani Horata Samiti on Tuesday held protest in front of DC office condemning the demanding justice for Hyderabad University student Rohit Vemula’s death, who committed suicide a year ago.

Samiti member Suresh Bakrabail while addressing the protestors said that it wasn’t a suicide, but it was an organised murder.

“He was murdered by social and caste system. He would have given valuable contribution to the society if he was alive. Communal organisations like ABVP have murdered him,” he alleged.

Dalit leaders Ashok Konchadi, Raghuveer Suterpete and others were present.
