Udupi: Dalita Damanitara Swabhimana Horata Samiti urged for the stern action against the organisers of ‘Kanaka Nade’, after submitting a memorandum to Udupi SP K T Balakrishna, on Sunday.

“District administration had not given permission to conduct Kanaka Nade outside the Math premises, but the organisers have conducted the Kanaka Nade in parking slot, Rajangana and some other place which are not a part of the Math. It is a direct violation of DC’s order and stern action should be taken against the organiser Yuva Brigade,” said Shyamraj Birthi, Dalit leader.

He further said that Vishweshateertha Swamiji had done a wrong thing by inaugurating a anti-Dalit movement.

Replying to this SP K T Balakrishna assures to consider the matter seriously.

“Every moment of ‘Kanaka Nade’ has been recorded and analysis will be made on the video,” he added.

Horata Samiti will hold talks with Deputy Commissioner on Monday, said the Samiti members.

‘Swabhimana Nadige’, programme of Dalit community was postponed as the district administration denied to give permission for the both programmes scheduled on Sunday. Other programme ‘Kanaka Nade’ was conducted at Udupi with some changes in the venue plan.
