Kundapur : The family members and locals held a flash protest against the ambulance driver for carrying the wrong body at Koteshwar on Sunday, August 23.

The ambulance driver handed over another body to family members before the final rites were going to be held.

It is said, A 65-year-old resident of Koteshwar died of coronavirus. His body had been packed and brought to Halekote cemetery by ambulance. The family could not verify the identity of the body because the body was packed,

When the process of the last rite started, the packing was opened. The family members found the body of a young man instead of a 65-year-old man who dies of coronavirus.

The family members and locals a flash protest at the cremation ground over the exchange of the body.

At last, police arrived the spot and the elderly man’s body was brought to the cemetery and the young man’s body was taken back.
