Mangalore :  As usual, deep sea fishing has been banned across coastal Karnataka for 57 days from June 15 to August 10.

Informing this, Fisheries Deputy Director Suresh Kumar said  both mechanized as well as country boats with engines of capacity exceeding 10 HP were not permitted to venture into fishing during the ban period.

He has also warned that violators will not benefit from any government schemes including subsidy on diesel.
