New Delhi : Kejriwal ji says he doesn’t do politics of appeasement but the reality is exactly the opposite said Ashok Goel
Kejriwal, involved in vote bank politics, keeps increasing the salaries of the Imams of the mosque from time to time, but even once in these years, never discussed about the salary of the priests he said.
Delhi government is requested to make a provision to pay salaries to priests of religious places in Delhi on the same lines as the Imams of mosques are given monthly salary Goel said.
All regilious places are closed amid the lock-down caused due to Corona crisis. At such a time, priests of all religious places in Delhi are facing problems in their livelihood . Seeking the Delhi government to fix the salary for the priests of the religious places of Delhi at the time of this crisis, Delhi BJP Media Head and Spokesperson Ashok Goel Devraha said that the Imam of the mosques in Delhi and his assistant are being paid by the Delhi government but priests of other religious places of Delhi have not been given any financial assistance till date. Right now, the expenses of the priests of most temples and other religious places are being made by the donation, Dakshina, offerings and this money is so low that it is difficult to run a house. However No Donations and offerings are received due to temple is closed during lockdown. Most of the temple priests are living life with many problems but still the Kejriwal government has not taken care of them.
Shri Goel said that the Chief Minister of Delhi used to say that he does not do politics of appeasement but the reality is exactly the opposite. He told that just before the Assembly elections, Kejriwal increased the salary of the Imam to Rs. 18,000 and that of the Assistant to Rs. 16,000.
Goel said that earlier too many times an attempt was made to attract the attention of the Delhi Government on this matter, but Kejriwal, who did politics of religion, never took the problems of the priests seriously. Kejriwal, who is involved in vote bank politics, keeps increasing the salaries of the Imams of the mosque from time to time, but even once in these years, there was no discussion about the salary of the priests. Once again, the Government of Delhi is requested to make a provision to pay salaries to the priests of religious places of Delhi on the same lines as the Imams of mosques are paid monthly salary.
