Bantwal : Ramanna kottary (63) a popular figure in Navoor village of Bantwal taluk succumbed  to dengue  fever on 26^th June 2013 . He has been shifted to a hospital in Mangalore after diagnosed as dengue inflicted patient by a Navoor health center.  He was further referred to a doctor in B.C.Road  and shifted to  a private hospital in .

A popular figure in his home town, Ramanna kottary  is a patron of Shri Rama Bhajana Mandali  of Allipade and trustee of Mahamayee Temple of Kodialbail . He worked tirelessly for the development of primary school in his area .  He is also a Yakshagana buff.

Among the dignitaries who visited the deceased residence are , Padmanabha Kottary  B.J.P   District president , Thungappa Bangera member , state back ward class commission .

Ramanna Kottary is survived by his wife, son and a daughter.
