Mangalore: Manjunath Friends Circle, Kadri felicitated Noor Mohammed Hussain, Deputy Commissioner of Excise Department who will retire from his service after 35, at Dinky Dine Hall on August 29, Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Noor Mohammed Hussain, said that the people in the district have increased the consumption of alcohol.
He also said that he had seen many families facing problem due to the alcoholism present in the head of the families and demanded excise officials to work hard for social welfare.

MLA Yogish Bhat and Chairman of the Coastal Development Authority B. Nagaraj Shetty appreciated the service of Mr. Hussain on the occasion.
Presideing over the occasion, Krishna J. Palemar, District-in-charge Minister said Mr. Hussain has worked for the welfare of the country and all other officials of the department must follow his principles.
Edward D’Souza, President of the Manjunath Friends Circle and Corporators Madhusoodhan and Roopa D. Bangera were present.
