Mangalore : Deputy Speaker N Yogish Bhat inaugurated the programme for the construction of ‘Tulu Bhavana’, held at Urwa stores on Saturday, April 21.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, he said that, the government has already released the funds for the construction of Rangamandira, Ambedkar Bhavana and synthetic track at Mangala Stadium and it will be pleasnt to see the Tulu Bhavana constructed within a year.
He also announced to give the amount of Rs 10 lakhs for the project from the MLA fund.
Tulu Sahitya Academy president Umanath Kotian, appreciated the efforts for the former presidents for materializing of the concept of Tulu Bhavana.
He also said that Tulu Bhavana will be constructed at the cost of Rs. 6 crore. The first floor consist of cultural hall while the second floor will have a museum and a guest room.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Deputy Mayor Amitha Kala, Former President of the Academy Vaman Nandavara, Registrar Chandrahas Rai and others were present.
