Mangalore : Dr V S Acharya, Honourable minister for Higher Education, Planning and Statistics, said that Karnataka has largely supported the Banking sector from past many years in all up and downs.
He was speaking after inaugurating the 16th All India Conference organized by National Organization of Bank Workers (NOBW) held at Sangha Niketan in Mannagudda on October 2, Saturday.
He also said that, the financial management and circulation is as important as the blood in the body. The fundamental of Indian Banking are very strong and also seen the inflation and the crisis in the past.
The Banking sector people agreed that the fundamentals of banking sector are strong and the change is taking place very fast. Karnataka is at the number one position in the financial management in the country. Even in the tax rate of the state is able to be in the number one position with 11 percent and Andhra Pradesh in the second position with 9.6 percent, he added.
Shri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt in his benedictory speech said that service rendered to the country is the service rendered to the god. Serving god through ones profession is superior. ’Desh Devo Bhava’, he stated.
Around 600 delegates from different banks all over India participated in the conference.
Mr. Dinesh Kulkarni presided over the event. Ashwani Rana general secretary delivered the introductory speech.
Mayor Rajani Dugganna, K. Lakshma Reddy, the secretary of the Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel; District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar; P. T. Rao, the in-charge of the financial sector of BMS; Dr. S. U. Deshpande, the general secretary of NOBO were present at the inaugural ceremony.
