Bangalore: Popularly known as G. Narayana(88), the eminent writer, thinker and Kannada administrator passed away on Sunday, leaving wife and 3 sons here. He was a fighter for Karnataka state formation, and established district units of KSP as its chief.
He promoted the first folklore University in the world in Karnataka. He Governed Kannada Development Authority and was a popular writer.
He got all ancient epic poems of Kannada published from KS Parishat. He arranged postal distribution, during a state strike of P&T. He was an eminent journalist G. Narayana edited a humour magazine called ‘Vinoda’(entertainment). He won several awards, including ‘Nadoja’ from Hampi Kannada University.
He has written several Kannada books. He was a senior Gandhian in Public service. He created new dimensions in the Service of Kannada and the state of Karnataka. He was born in 1923.
