Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court has consented to proceed legally against Devegowda, MP and members of his family in cases filed in the Lokayukata High Court on Land grab and iron ore mining scandals conducted in border district of Bellary in 2004-06.
A legal enquiry matter against Devegowda’s land scam had come up on Monday in 23rd civil court in city, and the complaint against Devegowda family was considered by justice C.B.Hippargi who agreed to proceed against the accused on charges made. The enquiry comes up again on March 9 now.
A Lawyer Vinod, and Gowda family were involved in the legal proceedings head on.
It was stated in the charge sheet that Gowda family usurped 82 acres of land in Holenarasipura. The irregular land deal had taken place in the cruacial years of H.D.Kumaraswamy’s Chief Ministership during 2006-07, the lawyer (Vinod) told the court in his affidavit.
