Mangaluru : The Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple will commence major ‘sevas’ like ‘Sarpa Samskara,’ ‘Ashlesha Bali,’ Nagaprathishte’ and ‘Mahabhisheka’ from Thursday.
Those who book Sarpa Samskara, Ashlesha Bali, Nagaprathishte and Mahabhisheka will have to produce either a vaccination certificate (at least one dose) or an RT-PCR negative report.
The Sarpa Samskara rituals will be held in two batches for 90 devotees each at 8am and 10am. Meanwhile, Ashlesha Bali will be conducted in four batches daily.
A total of 240 devotees can perform the seva with 60 devotees in each batch at 6am, 8.15am, 9.45am and 5pm.
The temple will commence all other sevas and anna prasada (mid-day meal) from Tuesday.
For each seva ticket, only two devotees will be allowed to take part in rituals. The devotees can have darshan of the deity between 6.30am and 1.30pm as well as between 3.30pm and 8.30 pm, stated a release from the temple.
From Tuesday, ‘Tulabhara’, ‘Sheshaseve’, ‘Panchamrithabhisheka’ and other sevas will commence. The devotees will be allowed to stay in lodges and guest houses of the temple. The temple will also start distribution of laddu, panchakajjaya, theertha as prasada from Tuesday.
Covid-appropriate behaviour including wearing mask and maintaining social distancing will be mandatory in temple premises, officials said.
