Dharmasthala : The Dharmasthala Karthik Deepotsava is from Nov.28 to Dec.4 and for devotees coming from near and far, it is a delight to stay in the holly place in thousands. Wherever you go you meet crowds and have to stand in line to go into the temple or dining room. If you go to the Bahubali hills within the area of the holly town after climbing about 300 steps made of cement, before you meet Bahubali as a 40 feet tall figure you again meet the crowds lazing around the place. There is a motor car to carry children on a slender road on top of the hill. The statue of Bahubali evokes sentiments of strong compassion, attraction and love.

The events of lighted lamps take place after 7 pm the poojas however, are done at noon .Devotees also visit the Beedu the residence of a Jain Dharmadikari who worships Hindu God Manjunatha and Ammanavaru.
