Mangaluru : A couple from Janata Colony in Dharwad arrested on the charges of involving in several theft cases. Police have also seized stolen goods worth around Rs 4 lakhs from them. The recovered items include gold jewels weighing 62 grams and silver items weighing two and a half kg.

Those arrested are Rajesh Naik alias Raju Pamudi (42) and Padma Pamudi (37). It is learnt the duo had committed several thefts while they stayed at Manchi, Manipal and in other places of the district.

The accused were wanted in connection with the thefts in Prakash Jewellery at Mulki, Mariamma Temple and Mookambika Temple apart from two house burglary cases.
