Mangalore : There is a demand for  re-probe into the ASI Srikala harassment case. Speaking to reporters Vidya Dinker of the Forum Against Atrocities on Women said ASI Srikala is being harassed by leveling false allegations and registering complaints against her just because she she had registered a case against a higher official.

The DFI, Forum Against Atrocities on Women and Dalit Sangharsha Samithi have demanded fresh probe into the case and stern action against Mangalore South Assistant Commissioner of Police T R Jagannath.

Vidya also said even a a constable of a Dalit community has lodged a case of atrocity against Srikala in order to harass her.

IT may be recalled here that ASI Srikala had moved the JMFC Court recently   and the court had asked the women’s police station to file an FIR. She moved the court after the committee constituted by Police Commissioner  Manish Kharbikar absolved the accused ACP TR Jagannath of the charges.
