Ullal: Here is an example where digital India has been taken to next level. A private bus in the outskirts of Mangaluru is providing free wifi facility to its passengers.

Goldenline bus owned by A B Ibrahim (Andu) is the centre of attraction in the city, as it has become the favourite bus of internet lovers. The bus functions at Natekal in the out skirts of Mangaluru near Ullal.

The idea was coined driver Abdul Rahman’s son Afreez, who works in a private company. Wifi login name and password haven been written inside the bus which can be seen by any passenger.

Since last two days the number of passengers has been increased in the bus after the matter of free wifi went viral on social media. Especially students are making the most use of it says driver Abdul Rehman.

“Some of the passengers are even thanking us for providing this facility. Everybody is appreciating this idea of providing free wifi during bus journey. At present I am using Jio router, which will be charged during night time,” he said requesting the young generation not to misuse the facility for any bad purposes.
