Udupi: BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday inaugurated BJP Social Networking portal during BJP’s Social Networking Convention organized for Udupi and D.K. districts which was organized at Ammani Rammani hall in Udupi.

Addressing the gathering at the event BJP State President BS Yedyurappa said that this is an Information Technology era. Social network as are extremely influential. They play a vital role in understanding people’s feelings. BJP is ahead in making proper use of Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter and other social sites. Election is not limited to a physical war, but extends into the online sphere, he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made effective use of internet platform during elections and to impart information to the people on government projects. Hence, this instrument must also be used during the upcoming state elections. In this war, BJP’s digital wing will completely immerse itself into the social networks and make effective use of it, he added.
