Mangalore: Carstreet in Mangalore and surrounding areas witnessed a colourful procession in the wee hours of October 1, Monday as part of the Digvijaya Yatra of Shrimad Sudheendra Teertha Swamiji, senior pontiff of Kashi Mutt to mark the conclusion of his Chathurmasa Vritha in Shri Venkataramana Temple, Car Street.
The swamiji offered special poojas and prayers at the temple and then visited Tirumala Tatha Shri Venkataramana Temple in Bantwal, the Vrindavan of Shri Devendra Teertha Swamiji, and Shri Veera Vittala Temple in Panemangalore.
The Shobha Yatre featured Chende artists, panchavadya, bhajans, and huli vesha teams. The Yatra which began from Canara High School premises passed through New Chitra Junction, Swadeshi Store, and Car Street, and finally returned to the temple.
