Udupi: Diploma students of various colleges in Udupi demonstrated in front of the Udupi DC office complex demanding reintroduction of carry over system in diploma and polytechnic colleges.

They said the existing practice would hit hard the students and demanded that carry over system be reintroduced even for diploma students on lines of degree college students.

The students have also warned of further intensifying their protest if the authorities failed to respond to their demands.

A memorandum was also submitted to the DC on the occasion. Students of Dr TMA Pai Polytechnic, Kamath Institute of Technology, Kundapur, Mahaveera polytechnic, Moodbidri, KPT Mangalore and Nitte Women’s Polytechnic took part in the protest .
