Udupi : Some light is finally seen at the end of the tunnel for the ‘ Katariveera Surasundarangi’ team. The producer of the film Muniratna is learnt to have agreed to cut the objectionable seven scenes in the film.
At a meeting held at the Shiroor Mutt at Udupi on the night of May 13, Sunday to settle the impasse it was decided to remove objectionable sequences and dialogues of the film which will be screened from Thursday. The meeting was attended by Munirathna , producer, film’s distributor Rockline Venkatesh K.V.Chandrashekhar, President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Anand of Prasanna Theater.
A special screening of the film will be held at Bangalore on May 17 at Renukamba preview theatre for the swamijis. The revised version of the film will be shown to the Censor Board members for clearance. According to the director, the revised version will be screened in the theatres for the entire public after the edited portions are accepted by the Swamijis and cleared by K.V.Chandrashekhar,.
