Mangalore : Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda has said that the party would serve show cause notices to those MPs and MLAs who attended the Haveri Convention of the KJP.
Speaking to reporters at the party office in Mangalore on December 16, Sunday, Sadananda Gowda said the party has formed five teams to extensively tour various districts and elicit opinion of the party men to select candidates for the next elections. He said the first list of candidates for nearly half of the assembly constituencies will be announce by January 15, taking into consideration the reports of the committee.
He made it clear that there was no confusion in the BBJP and that all the confusion had ended after Yeddyurappa launched his KJP.
He also stated that the Congress and the JD(S) have failed as opposition parties. When asked if he would consider contesting the assembly elections, DVS said he has not thought of it so far, but was quick enough to say he would consider if the party decides to field him.
