Bantwal : The Bantwal assembly constituency unit of the BJP staged a protest in front of the Taluk Office at BC Road on May 6, Tuesday, against the goondaism used by the Congress, making the law and order weak in the society.

Addressing the protestors, District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak said that the congress leaders have created an atmosphere of fear among the locals of Bantwal through the goonda activities.

He also said that until the congress do not maintain law and order in the society and make will continuously fight against attempts made by them to disrupt peace.

Later the protestors submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Tahsildar.

District BJP President A Rukmaya Poojary, former minister Nagaraj Shetty, District BJP Spokesperson Umanath Kotian, State BJP Vice President Sulochana GK Bhat, Bantwal unit BJP Chief G Anand, party leaders Sharada Rai, Sucharitha Shetty, Balakrishna Shetty and others were present.
