Mangalore: Bharatiya Janata Party has slammed the government’s decision to increase petrol prices by rupees 3.14 rupees per litre from Friday, said Padmanabha Kottari, BJP district president.
Speaking at the press meet held BJP district office on September 16, Friday, he said that the decision of government on increasing petrol has become the financial burden on the common people.
He said the central government was impractical to control inflation and in two or three months the central government has increased the price of petrol, LPG and other essential commodities around 8 times, these rising prices was falling on the people of the country.
India has been increasing fuel prices in order to ease its fiscal burden, but doing so is sensitive for Congress party, whose voter base is heavily rural and poor, he added.
The central government has even failed to control recent bomb blast in the country, he added.
