Mangalore : District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak said that even after the relaxation of poll code of conduct, the district administration has not under taken any progress works and not interested in redressing the public woes.
Speaking at the press meet held at District BJP office on April 24, Thursday, he said that previous year, 28 gram panchayats faced drinking water problem, but this year the number of villages have increased to 42.
He also said that people in many villages are seen lining up for a pot of water, hence the district administration must frame an action plan and implement it.
Nayak also urged the government to provide compensation to the victims of recent natural calamities occurred at Belthangady, who have lost crops worth lakhs of rupees and houses.
He also said that the government which reacted immediately in the case of Shringeri shoot-out must also show equal interest in redressing other problems.
MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik and District BJP Spokesperson Satish Prabhu were present.
