Mangalore: After defeat in Maharashtra and Haryana congress started a massive membership drive with the view of strengthening the party in Dakshina Kannada district.

Speaking in a press meet on Monday, October 20, Interim District Congress President Ibrahim Kodijal said that the Congress party will organize a massive membership drive on October 28, in all the 16 blocks in the district.

The drive will conducted simultaneously in the district. Party leaders, Ministers, MPs and MLAs will be present in block, he added.

“The Congress contributed towards the development and implemented pro-people schemes, he said.

Kallige Taranath Shetty, Shashidar Hegde and others were present.
