Mangalore : The District committee of Congress staged a demonstration in front of the DC office on May 3, Saturday urging to take stringent action against Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev for his offending statement on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Dalit colonies.

Addressing the protestors, Congress leader Ivan D’Souza said that before becoming a Yoga guru, Baba Ramdev was a BJP man and this statement by him shows that BJP has failed to respect Dalits and women. If BJP come to power, BJP will be divided.

They also protestors also burnt the effigy of Baba Ramdev.

Acting upon a complaint filed by social activist Lolaksha, Konaje police have registered an FIR against Baba Ramdev under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
