Mangalore: District Congress Minorities Cell President Moidin Bava has said that the Congress Minorities Cell strongly condemned the attack on three mosques at Karnad, Kulai and Mukka on December 17, Monday.
Speaking to reporters at the party office, Bava who had earlier visited the attacked mosques, urged Muslim brethren to maintain calm on such occasions. He said with elections fast approaching, attempts are being made by some elements to disrupt harmony in the society. He also pointed out to the recent incident of throwing pigs head in front of mosque and added on each occasion the administration and the police have been successful in handling the situation well.
At the same time he urged the police and administration to have CCTVs installed in all sensitive places, with the co-operation of the managements of the religious shrines so that the culprits responsible for such attacks could be easily identified.
