Mangalore : The District congress observed the founders day of the party at the district office on December 28, Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, KPCC general secretary Ivan D’Souza said that the congress party came into existence before 126 years and has been working for the poor people and unite them and rendered support to lead a respected life.

He also said that the congress leaders have worked together to unite the people and strengthen the party with the effort of their social activities and work efficiency.

Congress is like flowing water and the party with the people of clean heart. The sacrifice done by the congress party has been known to people now, when the present politics is messed up, he said.

Today again people want congress party to come into power, since large numbers of poor people have got the house during the congress in power.

PV Mohan said that people at present congress leaders need not explain its versatility and efforts to the people, but they themselves have known its value.

Congress leaders always stressed on uniting Hindu and Muslims, because they always knew that if they are not united, the country will not prosper, he added.

Congress leaders like Kodija Ibrahim, Mithun Rai, Mamatha Gatty, Azeez, Nagendra, Moideen Bawa, H M Ashraf and Sadashiva Ullal were present.
