Mangalore  : DK district Congress Party, organized a torchlight procession as part of its statewide protest against power crisis in the state in front of MCC office on Oct 21 Friday.

MLA U. T. Khader said that the BJP-led state government has just given assurance to the people to provide 24 hours power supply and has done nothing so far to solve the power problem.

They also blame at the central government for its mistake and district Congress condemn it, he said.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Ivan D’Souza and other Congress leaders like Mithun Rai, Shashidhar Hegde, Gretta Rebello, Lancelot Pinto, Nagendra Kumar, Praveenchandra Alva, Gulzar Banu, and Bhasker Moily participated in the protest.

The torchlight procession moved through Lalbagh and TMA Pai Hall and concluded at MCC.
