Mangaluru : The District Congress staged a protest in front of the DC office on January 7, Saturday to oppose the demonetization by the Union government.

DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai said, Note ban has had severe impact on the farmers and daily wage labourers, and also claimed 100 lives till date, the people have been disillusioned with the fake promises of Modi. The government must make public the list of black money holders as well as the amount seized, he demanded.
State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader said, Demonetisation has claimed 100 lives so far but Prime Minister Modi has no concern towards the people and no compensation has been given to the kin of the deceased, people will destabilize Modi’s government in the forthcoming elections. he said.
