Mangaluru : The Mangaluru Police Commissionerate and District Police Department jointly celebrated the Police Flag Day in the Mangaluru Police ground on April 2, Saturday.

M Shankerappa, retired ASP released the Police Flag Day stickers and said that, the sale of the police flag will be used for the welfare of the retired police officials.

As many as 75 personnel, who retired recently were felicitated on the occasion.   

City Police Commissioner Chandra Shekhar said, the Department is always indebted to several of its retired police personnel who have served the police force with great dedication.

IG (Western Range) Amrit Paul, District Superintendent of Police Dr Sharanappa S D were present.
