Mangalore The process of electing new office bearers  for the district unit of the Karnataka State Government Employees Association for the year 2013-18 will begin in July and end in September.

This was informed to reporters here on June 11, Tuesday by George Pinto, District President of the Association.

The decision to hold elections was taken at the state unit meeting held in Bangalore last month.

Deputy Secretary G Siddhagangayya, will be  the Returning Officer for the elections. He said government employees at taluk and district levels will have to confirm their registration by June 20 as no other names will be included in the voters list after that. He said there were 25000 government employees in the district, out of the total six lakhs in the state.
