Mangalore : District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai has thanked the voters of Mangalore for electing to power over  ten young corporators from the Congress during this election. He said the Youth Congress was also thankful to the senior party leaders for giving them a chance.

He said as per the directions of the party leaders, the youth leaders of the Congress had been actively taking part in the campaigning and were able to draw more voters towards the Congress.

He said the young corporators would strive their level best to solve the problems of their ward.He said the youth Congress is engaged in the task of guiding the youth on the right direction.

To a question if the Youth Congress would back the proposed Niddodi thermal power plant, he fumbled and said the Youth Congress would support any project if it does not inconvenience locals.

Newly elected corporator Praveenchandra Alva, and Youth Congress leaders namely Rajaneesh, Vinayraj, Prithviraj, Abdul Ratif, Prakash Salian and others were present.
