Mangalore : KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza said that District Youth Congress will organize a massive public awareness vehicle rally from Urwa Store to Kannur Maidan on Jan 15, Tuesday at 3.30 pm urging BJP government to step down from the power.
Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress office on Jan 14, Monday, he said that the ruling BJP party is dived into three groups and the ruling party itself is playing the role of opposition party to bring down the BJP government.
He also said that the ruling party have failed to implement any the schemes for the welfare of public, hence Governor must dissolve the party as soon as possible, he said.
The programme will commence from rally which will begin from Urwa store via PVS, City Centre, Hampankatta, Light House Hill Road, Balmatta, Kankanady, Pumpwell Circle, Padil and conclude at Kannur Maidan giving a kick start to the massive public meeting.
Congress leaders like Oscar Fernandes, B Janardhana Poojary, Vinay Kumat Sorake, former speaker Ramesh Kumar, former Minister B A Moideen and M M Nanayya, district congress president B Ramanath Rai, MLA K Abhaychandra Jain, MLA Vasanth Bangera, MLA U T Khader, Mohammed Masood, formr MP B Ibrahim, youth congress vice president Priyanka Kharge, Mayor Gulzar Banu and other corporators will participate in the rally and public meeting.
He also announced that SDM law student Ashith Periera is elected as NSUI congress district president.
H also said that around 1000 two wheelers, 500 four-wheelers are expected for the rally and over 5000 people are expected for the public meeting, he said.
Congress leaders like Mithun Rai, Nagendra, K Ashraf, Praveenchandra Alva, Arun Coehlo, Vinayraj and others were present.
