Mangalore: A protest rally was organised today (Oct.20) at the DCO gates by leaders and workers of BJP DK units, for the political frauds pracatised by them on the elected ruling govt in the State. The rally made it clear that BJP was not amused by the political tricks played out by the two opposition parties to stall any development works since a long time.
The protestors alleged that Congress and JDS state leaders have not appreciated the good work done by BJP in the last 2 years. City MLA N.Yogish Bhat who addressed the angry protestors of BJP stated that it was not proper to prevent developmental works of the ruling party by the opposition representatives through plotting and fraudulent means.
But such activities against the ruling party will not work anymore, and people will continue to support the govt, to rule for 5 years and complete its term, rather than allow alternate plans which harm BJP, the veteran MLA declared.
The Congress and JD(S), who thought their MLAs were obedient and faithful to party leaders, were dismayed to see some MLAs giving resignations as MLAs. The opposition had enticed 19 BJP MLAs with many attractive promises earlier, to subvert the ruling BJP govt, Kottari (ex-MLA) pointed out. But the same 2 parties were surprised and troubled by the resignations of their own MLAs now, said Padmanabha Kottari, BJP DK unit chief, in his speech made at the rally.
Sanjeeva M. Nitin Kumar, Pushpalatha, Kishore Puttur, Mahila Morcha Chief Sulochana Bhat, K.P Jagadish Adhikari, Bhuvanabhirama Udupa, Dy Mayor Rajendra Kumar, Balakrishna Bhat participated among others in the rally.
