Mangalore : In a press brief held today at DK Congress office Mangalore, Ivan D’Souza a congress leader condemned Sadananda Gowda and other BJP leaders on their stand of banning Gutka from the state. He clarified that it is on the Supreme Court order state govt took the decision and more than twenty five states and union territories banned Gutka on court order it includes BJP ruled states such as Gujarath and Madhyapradesh.
 
DV Sadananda Gowda did nothing to help araca nut grovers   during his tenure as chief minister and now he is rising hue and cry about the fate of araca grovers in the state. It is the central govt who imposed taxes on imported araca nut so that Indian  araca grovers fetch better price. During the seven years rule of BJP, not a single step has been taken to augment the condition of araca nut grovers in the state and suddenly BJP leaders trying  to mislead the public on this issue.

He further said that the ban of Gutka will help vast majority of population like factory workers, labourers, transport workers, youths who become victims of Gutka menace.
