Mangalore : To save this country form mine owners and illegal iron ore exports, Congress leaders of Karnataka PCC have undertaken a walk to Bellary on a 320 km, route via Tumkur Road on Sunday from Bengaluru. Who else but DK Congressmen, have also joined this Padayatra in rains, among whom B. Ramanath Rai (local Congress chief and Bantwal MLA), Abhaya Chandra Jain (Mudbidri MLA), U.T. Khader (Ullal MLA), Vinay Kumar Sorke (former MP), Ivan D’Souza (advocate & union leader), Praveen Chandra Alva, Badruddeen, Arun Coelho, and many others are in a batch. They will walk 10 to 15 kms, in the first stage with KPCC leaders of the state. They have taken a ‘kombu’ which sounds in a war cry with them. Some activists from DK will join them on Aug. 1 on way to Bellary in Tumkur. They had raised slogans of ‘BJP Hatao, Karnataka (Congress?) Bachao’ on way said Ivan D’Souza, their spokesman. One hopes they will not be tired on way.
