Mangaluru: The rising number of COVID-19 positive cases in neighbouring Kasargod district and also in Dakshina Kannada as well as in Uttara Kannada district, the Dakshina Kannada district decided to declare a bandh on March 28.
In a meeting presided by district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and other higher officials of the district it was decided to declare a bandh.
All commercial and financial activities in the district will be banned throughout the day.
District MP, MLAs, district panchayat president, mayor and senior officials were present in the meeting.
